Iris Kristoff is an associate at the Law Offices of Laura J. Farris, where she specializes in assisting employees in a variety of legal claims, with a focus on employment matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and employee classification disputes, as well as counseling employees on personnel issues such as discipline, termination, leaves of absence, and overtime and meal/rest periods.
Ms. Kristoff received her J.D. in 2014 from Emory University School of Law, in addition to her Master’s in Public Health, focusing on health policy and management. During law school, Ms. Kristoff served as a law clerk for Administrative Law Judge Lana Layton in the Hearing’s Unit of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Throughout law school, Ms. Kristoff interned at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and authored a research brief, “Health Care Communication Laws in the United States, 2013: Implications for Access to Sensitive Services for Insured Dependents,” that was selected for publication in the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice. Ms. Kristoff received her Bachelor of Arts in 2009 from Santa Clara University, where she majored in Philosophy.
Ms. Kristoff is admitted to the State Bar of California and the Southern District of California. She is also a member of the North County Bar Association and the Fiorenzo V. Lopardo American Inn of Court.
As a native San Diegan, Iris enjoys San Diego’s beautiful beaches and weather, trying new restaurants, and supporting local businesses in her neighborhood of North Park.
